Ubud, itself,
is Bali's cultural capital. Here you can visit artists' studios,
galleries, temples, craft shops, markets and a sacred monkey
forest. All of Bali's most famous dances are performed regularly
in Ubud. Ubud also boasts a host of restaurants and bars which
are among the best in Bali. Religious is all around you .......processions
and ceremonies are virtually everyday occurrences.
For
the more active guest Bali offers plenty of action. Villa Indah,
sited midway between the mountains and the sea is the perfect
base. Almost essential is white water rafting on the Ayung River,
passing below Villa Indah near the end of the run. Its stimulating
yet safe and the scenery is probably the most spectacular
in Bali. Walking is rewarding. Your house staff will guide you
to the valley and the villages beyond the river. Guide books
