Far from the madding crowd, yet just 30 minutes drive from the airport, comfortably tucked amidst the local village and the lush green paddy fields with a natural river flowing alongside the villas, is Novus Bali Villa Resort. Soak the sun, listen to the winds playing amidst the lovingly tended Balinese garden and the bamboos, soothe your eyes and get ready for the amazing Balinese hospitality and complete bliss and peace, interrupted only, by a bird's call, and a cricket's hum!
Set amidst nature, Novus Bali Villa exudes the charm of Indonesia's true heritage. The reception of the resort “Sawaagat” (which means welcome in Sanskrit) is a careful reconstruction of a Joglo. Joglo is the Central Javanese architectural 'trademark', which, after 1900, gradually got confined to public spaces and dwellings of those who enjoyed special strata and privilege in the society. This particular Joglo is 250 years old and has been transplanted from its original location in central Java and reassembled at the resort to give you a blend of Indonesian culture across islands. This Joglo is made out of Jati wood or Kayu Jati as locally known and is characterized by a unique pagoda type cascading design on the ceiling locally known as [Tumpansari] and intrinsic carvings depicting traditional Javanese art on all the wooden pillars.
