Amandari
is an upcountry retreat perched on an escarpment high above
the winding Ayung River gorge in Ubud. Amandari lies adjacent
to the village of Kedewatan and close by Ubud, Bali's vibrant
art community. Amandari has been designed as a walled Balinese
village, with river-stone walkways linking to the 30 thatched-roof
pavilions.
Amandari reflects the upcountry village
culture of art and music and dance and design that surrounds it. It is this inspired
integration of the resort with the Balinese world about it that makes Amandari a memorable
experience.
