Location
Amandari is located about 45 minutes from Denpasar Airport and five minutes from the art
community of Ubud, in central Bali. The village of Kedewatan lies immediately adjacent to
the resort. Amandari has been designed as a Balinese village, with river-stone walkways
and high paras-stone walls. The pathways that runs through Amandari and down the valley to
the river below is said to be sacred land. Every six months for hundreds of years,
Balinese have taken the path down to a pool of holy water. Just above the spring-fed pool
sits three modest shrines and an ancient tiger carved into rock. Paths lead from Amandari
to surrounding villages.
